Family “UN”-Talent Show

Once upon a time (about 15 years ago), in a place far away (Canada), there was a family. From the outside this family looked like a typical, normal, family, but on the inside, things were not as “normal” as they seemed. Made up of 2 parents, 8 twenty something kids and a few spouses to those twenty something kids, this seemingly normal family was actually CRAZY! Yes CRAZY! Because none felt talented enough to have a talent show, they decided one night, that for fun, they would have an UN-Talent Show. This family soon saw sides to eachother that even after 20+ something years they had never seen before. From the “hanger dance” to the “nurse and the dying soldier” to “playing the Schnoz” this family realized that they were officially crazy! As the years have passed, this family has continued to appear normal, but once a year, (sometimes less, sometimes more) the craziness surfaces and all signs of normalcy disappear. They get crazier and funnier -every year as the “Un”-Talent gets more and more “Talented”. This year may have held the record of the craziest, funniest “UN “-Talent show ever!

THE NURSE AND THE DYING SOLDIER- mom did this one at the first show ever. It’s been a favorite ever since show she appeases us each year by reenacting it! HILARIOUS!!!

CLETUS CLYDESDALE- I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard as when Steve and Heather turned a video of their untalent on! It was HILARIOUS!!!!! I wonder what promises Steve made to Heather to get her to do this! She NEVER used to like to do this kind of stuff! So glad he talked her into it because she was AWESOME!!!

I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS- we couldn’t figure out what to do until we heard this song on the radio. We sang it and acted it out with Adam, as you can see, playing the role of the Hippo!

B MONEY VIDEO- there is a long story behind this “music video”. Let’s just say Steve and TJ can make any situation they encounter into a HILARIOUS story! And their boys are just as funny as they are! Jack and Ty were perfect “Gangstas”!

AMERICAN IDOL- Spencer, Annie and Justin were the Judges while Amber performed! These kids came up with their act on their own. It was AWESOME and Justin (aka- little Simon) played Simon perfectly! (We were not surprised)! PS- Amber has a beautiful voice! Maybe someday she will be on the real show!

There were plenty more crazy performances that I don’t have pictures of. One not to be forgotten was the song dad wrote for mom about how much he hates when she’s gone and how much he loves being a Granddad! Also, Ryan’s video where he played O Canada in every room in the house and I mean EVERY room! Good times, good times!

You forgot to mention that Ryan was playing the RECORDER!!!! And the un-talent of Marin, Annie and Nan was their Christmas Opera, that they actually rapped! But yes, Good Times!!!!! I will forever have Heather popping out from behind the Christmas Tree with the antlers on dancing etched in my memory! Hahahahahaha!
