If you'll notice on my baby counter on the sidebar, you'll see that I have FINALLY broken the 100 days left mark! As I type this, the counter says I have 98 days left. Now I know 98 days is still a lot but I have been waiting to see 2 digits instead of 3 ever since I added the Baby Counter to my sidebar. FINALLY I'm here! And guess what, its even less than 98 days. My reasoning you ask? Well, seeing as there is only 1 1/2 hours left in the day today, that takes off one day so its down to 97, AND considering that my doctor is enducing me on the 20th of July if I don't go into labor earlier than that (the reason I'm being enduced is because I have large babies and because my doctor is AWESOME and when I asked if I could schedule to be enduced he said YES - told you he's awesome) and that takes off 7 more days, then the reality is that I only have 90 days left til this baby is born! When I'm not pregnant, and I talk to other girls who are and they tell me they have 3 months left, I think to myself, wow, that's not long at all! BUT, when its me it is an ETERNITY away! It can't come soon enough!
I'm not going to lie, I am not a lover of the pregnancy experience. In fact I HATE it! I LOVE getting the baby and once I'm holding this little one in my arms, I'll think and know this was all worth it! But for now, I'm just trying to get through each day without either wanting to throw up, actually throwing up, and without having a major back ache! My poor family has to deal with my misery and I'm so blessed that they are trying to be so understanding! Spencer and Adam give me back rubs multiple times during the day, Garett gives me spontaneous little snuggles without me having to beg, Annie bends down and picks things up that I drop and Logan likes to look at my tummy but freaks out a little when he feels the baby move. When he freaks out, he is very kind when he says "Mom, I don't like to feel your tummy. Its getting so big!". Anyway, they are enduring this right a long with me and being so wonderful about it! We all can't wait to see this little munchkin!
Here's to having less than 100 days to go!!! Yipee!!!!!!!

The Dog Ate My Homework....
Really! She did!! Not kidding! Can't you see that guilty, sheepish "I know I did something naughty" look in here eye?
We all laugh at that saying and I'm sure teachers roll their eyes at it when they hear it, but this week we learned, all to well, that that excuse is a very real and very legitimate reason to not turn in your homework.
Monday after school Garett came home and diligently finished his homework without any help from me or Papa or Grandma! He did a great job! He even put it away in his backpack so he wouldn't forget to take it to school the next day. Then, without warning, we hear some tearing, and nibbling and look for the source of the noise. Nestled under a pillow on the couch is Lucy, with Garett's finished homework clenched in her teeth. She had jumped up to where Garett's unzipped backpack was hanging and got hold of the homework page! Annie pryed it away from her and we went to work trying to find every piece so we could somehow salvage the wreakage. We were somewhat successful in putting it back together but a note had to be included with the work explaining that yes indeed, "The Dog Ate My Homework!"

Garett started out a little panicked but then when he saw all of us laughing, he had a good laugh himself. I don't think he'll forget to zip up his backpack again anytime soon!

Easter Weekend
Easter Morning Before ChurchThis Easter we were visited by Papa and Grandma Christofferson. It was so fun to have them here to watch Flag Football and Soccer games (in the FREEZING cold, I might add), play games, eat and cook yummy food, decorate Easter Eggs, go to church, make and eat a YUMMY Easter dinner, and most of all snuggle with! They stayed a little longer than they normally do which made the visit even more special!

Easter Morning: What could be better than chocolate bunnies and Webkinz?
Annie and I as we were walking out the door to church. Soon this "Girl Only" picture will have 3 of us! Sooooo exciting and SOOOOO strange to think there will be another girl in the house! :-)
Piano Recital
Annie and Spencer have been taking Piano lessons since we first got our Piano. After Annie's first year, I decided the sheer misery we were both experiencing with trying to get her to practice was just too much for us both and I let her "take a break". A year later she begged me to let her start again with the understanding that if she complains and wants to quit, she'll never get to play another instrument (ie/ the guitar) EVER!! It hasn't been easy but she has pushed through and figured out that once she learns the song, playing the piano is quite fun. Now I can hardly keep her off the piano (almost to the point that its driving me crazy :-).
Spencer, on the other hand has been a little piano prodigy since day one. He LOVES it and practices, without help, all the time. He's been playing "The Entertainer" which has been cracking me up because my brother used to play that song when we were growing up and to hear my own son play it has taken me back in time. Spence is a very good piano player and continues to get better all the time.
A few weeks ago the kids had their Spring Recital. Unfortunately I was silly and forgot to charge the battery so I didn't get each song in its entirety (is that a word?) but you get the idea.
Spence and Annie, we're so proud of you both for all of your hard work and for being so talented. Good job! We Love You!

Not Quite Spring
We haven't had any snow all winter long and as Spring begins many people have commented how we are so lucky to have had such a mild winter, and now its spring. Well, I haven't lived in Colorado long, but I have lived here long enough to know that we won't be getting out of Winter that easily. A few weeks ago, with my kids being on Spring Break, my suspicion was correct and Winter finally found us. It started out pretty mild, but turned hazardous quickly. The city shut down, Adam came home from work at noon and we enjoyed a nice, fun day indoors drinking hot chocolate, playing games and watching movies. To be honest, I LOVE lazy winter days like that!
A few hours later it looked like this.
About 3 or 4 hours into the storm our back deck looked like this. Lucy LOVED carving paths through the snow.
Eventually, Adam had to shovel a path from our door, across the deck, and down the stairs to the backyard so Lucy could go "out" and so our deck wouldn't collapse from the weight of the snow!

CONFERENCE WEEKEND and MORE.....
CONFERENCE
As always I LOVED this weekends sessions of General Conference! Because of snow and the kids cancelled Soccer and Flag Football games on Saturday, we were able to watch all four sessions (five for Adam with Priesthood Session). I can't remember the last time I was able to sit through ALL FOUR sessions. It has been a long time because of the kids Saturday Activities but I am so glad we were able to. Each talk was so inspired and uplifting and I feel refreshed and renewed after hearing the counsel of our Beloved Prophet, Apostles and other leaders! I was also excited to hear that Elder Andersen was called to be the new Apostle. He was called to the Seventy at the same time as Adam's uncle was and we have always had a soft spot in our hearts for him. How exciting that they will once again serve side by side in the Quorum of the Twelve.
One thing I need to mention is how impressed I was with my kids. Spencer and Annie watched each session with us (they kind of petered out on Sunday afternoon but we didn't mind since they'd done so well through the other sessions). Even Logan and Garett sat and watched a lot of the sessions. I had printed out the "Conference Packets" that some ingenious person put together and emailed around, and all four kids loved working on them while they listened. Adam and I both realized that a year from now, Spencer will be going to the Priesthood Session. Can it really be coming that quickly! Wow!
After such a marvelous Conference, my knowledge of the Truthfulness of the Gospel has strengthened and I am truely grateful for the blessing of knowing that my Savior lives and loves me. The closing song of the Sunday Morning session was "We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet" and as the words rang in my ears I couldn't help but become overwhelmed with emotion and love for our Prophet Thomas S. Monson. What a wonderful, loving and tender man he is and how grateful to my Heavenly Father I am that he has given us the blessing of a living Prophet to "guide us in these latter days". I pray I can have the strength to always follow his guidance!
BACKACHE
If you are on facebook you've probably read in my "Marilee is" section that I have had a terrible backache for the past 2 weeks. It has been agonizing as it has been in my lower back and in a spot that I couldn't stretch out! Finally on Friday I had absolutely HAD IT so I called the doctor. My dr. wasn't in town so I met with the dr. on call. They monitored me to see if I was having contractions since back pain is a common sign of preterm labor. Thankfully all was well and I wasn't having contractions. Anyway, I had told her that I have a history of Kidney Stones and at my last Urology appt. about 2 years ago the xrays showed that I have about 4 or 5 small stones in my right kidney. The dr. wanted me to have a renal ultrasound to see if there were any stones as that could be the cause of my back pain. In thinking about my past experience with kidney stones, I realized that the pain I was having was in the same spot and felt the same way. I just hadn't thought of it as I just thought I was having a backache and couldn't stretch it out because it was in that "can't bend when you are pregnant" spot. So off to the ER (for the second time in this pregnancy) I went to have the ultrasound! After a long time waiting in the room, the ultrasound tech came in, did the ultrasound and said everything looked fine. Then he added that ultrasounds only pick up kidney stones made of calcium and not those made of uric acid. Well hello, that would have been nice to know since the last time I had stones, my doctor said mine are made up of uric acid! So they concluded that because my kidneys looked fine and there was no sign of blockage, that I probably had a small Uric Acid stone that was moving down and was small enough that it would pass on its own. They sent me home very frustrated but with some pain meds.
Friday night I was in a lot of pain and took some meds which helped a TON. I woke up Saturday feeling quite achy in my back but didn't want to be drugged up during conference. The pain was still there but came on and off through the day. At about 6:00 I noticed that my back didn't feel any pain at all! I thought it was temporary, but Sunday woke up pain free! It is now Monday and again, my low back pain is gone! O, how I hope it was a kidney stone, it has passed, and the low back pain is gone for good!
SICK KIDS (again!)
Logan started off Saturday morning with tons of energy and sass but as the day wore on he started running a fever. By Saturday night it was around 103.5. It has been A LONG time since any of my kids have run high fevers like that so I called the Pediatrician. He said not to worry until it hit 105 - 106 (WHAT????) and to alternate Motrin and Tylenol every 3 hours. That seemed to work until Sunday afternoon when his temp hit 104.9. To me that was close enough so I took him into Urgent Care. His temp started to come down while we were there and the motrin we had given him an hour before kicked in. After running some tests they determined he has Bronchitis. A breathing treatment and perscription for a Z-pac and an inhaler later, we were back home feeling much releif that it wasn't anything more serious!
Last night, after putting the kids to bed, Adam and I crashed too, only to be woken up an hour later by Logan throwing up. We determined it was from coughing too much! After cleaning him and his bed up, we got him back to sleep, got ourselves back to sleep only to be woken up again 3 hours later by Annie, who had a stomach ache. About an hour after trying to settle her down, she started throwing up too (and this time it wasn't from coughing too much)! GREAT!!! Are you kidding me? I finally got back to sleep around 4:30 and slept until 5:30 when Adam woke up to go work out. 6:30 the dog woke up and the kids started trickling out of bed so my sleepy time was over! AHHHHHHH, and I'm having another one???? :-)
Hopefully after today we'll be past all this sickness and can move on to a healthy, happy Spring!!!

My husband and a few others have made many requests so I've decided to make my blog public again. I've debated this back and forth but concluded that the reason I started my blog was to keep friends and family updated on us! In recent months, some of my family members and friends have let me know that they don't read my blog because they don't know how to get into it or have forgotten their sign in information (these being non-bloggers :-), so in order to get back to the purpose of this blog, I decided to go public.
To feel a little more protected I have a blog tracker on here and can see who views my site and how often, I also have limited comments to those who have blogger accounts.
