Just to take a break from blogging about Florida (I think only one day left to blog) I thought I’d take a second to talk about Logan! My sister Julie is great about blogging about the funny and cute things her kids say! I, on the other hand, am not. I always think that what they say is sooooo funny I’ll never forget it, I don’t need to write it down. Recently I’ve realized that I don’t remember some of the cutest things they have said. So I decided to try to write them down as they happen.
Lately Logan has said some of the funniest things! The first thing happened about a week or so ago when I had run to get something for the kids to eat for dinner. Logan was the only one who came with me and he did not stop talking the entire 30 minutes we were in the car together. At one point this was our conversation:
Logan: Who does dad love the most in our family?
Me: Me
Logan: Besides you who does he love the most?
Me: Daddy loves you all the same. How mommy’s and daddy’s love eachother is different then how they love their kids.
Logan: Oh so you mean they are IN love with each other, like in the “sexy” way.
Me: Logan please don’t say “sexy” do you know what it means?
Logan: Yeas, it means (smooch sounds, smooch sounds, smooch sounds!)
Me: not really
Logan: yes it does, it means someone is so HOT that you want to smooch them.
Me: Yeah, I guess… kind of… is there anyone that you think is hot and want to smooch? (holding my breath)
Logan: No not really but Spencer (his friend, NOT brother) thinks Kate is kinda hot. He said he’s going to trip her in the hall at church on Sunday?
Me: (trying not to break down into hysterical fits of laughter)
SOOOOO stinkin’ funny! Remember the book/movie “He’s just not that into you”? Well I guess it was wrong cause it says that if boys like you, no matter what age, they won’t do anything to hurt you. No true when you are 6. Apparently that’s EXACTLY how they show that they like you!
The second thing happened today. Logan was in the far back of the car reading a book about whales. We were at a stop light and the conversation went something like this:
Logan: Mom, turn around and look at the picture of a human brain and a whale brain.
Me (turning around): Wow
Logan: Which one do think is the human brain and which one is the whale brain?
Me: I’m gonna guess that the big one is the whale’s brain.
Logan: Yep, you’re right!
I turned around and started to drive when Logan then said (and mostly to himself in a voice filled we amazement): They sure must know a lot more stuff than we do!
Awe the simple mind of a child!
I LOVE this kid!
