This day on the lake was absolutely PERFECT!!! The weather was warm, the skies were clear and most importantly, the lake was as smooth as glass. When we rounded the corner to the beach front and saw how smooth the water was, Heather, Julie and I started squealing with delight and arguing over who got to ski first! I’m sure our kids thought we had all lost it. I don’t know that mine have ever seen me so outwardly excited about anything! Usually the only time the water is ever as smooth as it was this particular day is at 6 in the morning or 8 at night. It was 1130!!! What? Oh, yes and I believe that the waterskiing Gods were smiling down on us that morning!
We quickly loaded up the two boats with food, towels and kids and Heather, Julie, TJ, Dad and I all took off in the Malibu to get in some ski time before the water turned choppy. Steve, Mom and ALL the kids stayed on the Party Boat and waited for us to come back and find them.
Heather- Mother of 4
Me- Mother of 5
Julie- Mother of 4 (and didn’t think she’d be able to get up)
Dad- Father of 8, Grandfather of ALOT and 65 years old! MY DAD ROCKS!!!
After we finished our perfect water waterskiing we found the party boat and transferred adults and kids and pulled out the little waterskiing simulator thing and all the little kids took turns “waterskiing”.
Logan and Brady couldn’t get enough of it! By the end the were trying to jump waves! It was hilarious!
Brookie and Nanny weren’t too sure about it but ended up loving it!
Josh liked to ride it but wasn’t into standing up! Ty was a pro, of course!
Garett, as you can see was really getting into it!
Annie, Jack and Spencer gave real waterskiing a try and all got up for a few seconds! It’s a start!
Logan riding into shore at the end of a memorable day on the lake!
